FORMER CATALAN PRIME MINISTER PUIGDEMONT REFUGEED IN BELGIIUM

Former Catalan prime minister Carles Puigdemont and other Catalan leaders have been called to a Spanish court and shall deposit 6,2 million euro, the estimated costs of the referendum on 1st October. The accused people are now in Belgium being accused of rebellion and embezzlement.  In Catalonia during the investigations of the Spanish Guarda Civil a raid was carried out at the Catalan police and documents concerning the independence-referendum were confiscated. It has to do with the accusation that the Catalan police wouldn’t have prevented the referendum which had been declared illegal by the government in Madrid.
